Art took on a clever twist this week as students unveiled their Camo Project—an imaginative assignment where each piece was designed to blend seamlessly into the school’s walls. Using strategic color matching, shadow work, and pattern play, students transformed everyday objects into illusionary masterpieces, mimicking the chameleon’s natural ability to hide in plain sight.
The project challenged students to think critically about visual perception and artistic technique, all while having fun with their environment. From containers that vanished against brick backgrounds to statues melting into tile floors, the results were both surprising and inspiring.
This hands-on lesson brought creativity to life—and reminded everyone that great art doesn’t always stand out…it sometimes disappears!
