HHS Students Get a Head Start at Future Planning Day
MICHAEL NERI

Hamilton High School hosted its annual Future Planning Day, providing juniors and seniors the chance to explore a wide range of career and educational opportunities. Held in the school gymnasium, the event welcomed 273 students who engaged with representatives from local businesses, post-secondary schools, and career training programs to help shape their plans after graduation.

This year’s event featured a dynamic lineup of organizations, including universities, trade schools, community organizations, and local employers. Students networked with professionals from:

  • Aveda Institute Cincinnati
  • Boys and Girls Club Hamilton
  • Butler Tech Adult Education
  • Butler Warren Electrical JATC
  • Catexel Nease LLC
  • Cincinnati State
  • Community First Solutions
  • Darana Hybrid Inc
  • Easterseals Redwood Career Connection Program
  • GMV YMCA
  • Greif
  • Hamilton Police Department
  • Kettering Health
  • M. Bohlke Veneer Corp
  • Ohio Means Jobs
  • Telhio Credit Union
  • The Cincinnati Insurance Companies
  • United States Coast Guard
  • US Army
  • Vinylmax
  • X-Quisite Cutz School of Barbering
  • Miami University Hamilton

Students had the chance to learn about post-secondary education programs, skilled trades, military service, and local job opportunities. Many organizations provided hands-on demonstrations, informational brochures, and one-on-one discussions, giving students a clearer understanding of potential career paths.

Thanks to the collaboration between Hamilton High School and these outstanding community partners, students left the event more informed, inspired, and ready to plan their futures.
